2 US (airborne or Inf) 1 Brit (airborne or Inf) I Brit (polish) Airborne only, I US Infantry only, 1 Russian, 4 'anything NWE'
so, yes, from all allowed games -
70% allowed US infantry
60% allowed US Airborne
60% allowed 'Brit' Para
50% allowed Brit Infantry
10% allowed Russian (they did have a poor ol' year for it)
* note - saying a game 'prefers x, but still allowing Y' counts as allowing both.
Glad someone had time to look back at last years data, makes intresting reading.
Although you could delve even deeper into the figures and say you had the right Unifrom to attend the polish game, but didnt own a rifle.
But like I said if I can get the same amount of oppotunties to play again this year I am personally happy. Still you never know might get my very basic brit impression out for one game.

chommers, if i were to go to a game it would probably be that one. i wont be going because it clashes with other stuff and i dont have the kit for it, i know there is a kit borrowing arrangement which is cool but im not comfortable with borrowing other peoples kit.

Thats not a problem mate, I too only like to use my own kit. The only kit i borrowed was for a Nam game and managed to get the tiger stipe uniform caught on something sharp and rip it. Obviously I paid the chap to get it fixed but it would piss me off if i lent kit out and it came back damaged payment or not.

i too am happy to lend but less so to borrow, i sweat like a thing that sweats far more than a pig and unless i was to launder their kit afterwards it would be unfair.

Wait, what?!? The last two airsoft events have been in the south, and the November one is too.

Indeed. Perhaps one of those map graphs would illustrate this well.
I suppose we all notice when games are not where we want them to be (like noticing that the other queue is moving not yours) consequently it does feel like one has to organise a 6 hour round trip every time a game comes up - despite getting a chance to just pop over the Pennines to Porta's.
But Cest La Vie, it is annoying if it is (or feels) like the traveling is all one sided, but being prepared to travel to the other side of the country is just part of the parcel.
It partly depends where you think 'the south' starts. When I lived in London, 'the north' started somewhere around Luton, if not Watford

I like to call it 'Father Ted syndrome'.
For your edification and instruction, 3 years.
All games listed, not training days.
Fascinating Wladek, thanks.

I think it is more that London in particular sucks you into its gigantic mass and it takes so long to get anywhere you find it hard to imagine anything outside. Nowhere in the UK is that far away, you can drive from Aberdeen to Plymouth in less than 12 hours, it isn't like we live in Alaska or Brazil (or even France!).
A 12 hour drive is a long way to go for a game though

I'd love to attend more WW2 events, but living near Glasgow puts me somewhat out of range. I wouldn't mind the drive down to some of the events closer to the border, but I'd need a car for that - and, y'know, a Driving License...
Out of interest, has there ever been a car-pool organised for folks coming North of the border to any previous events?

You could, if you haven't already, give Ernie's P.O.W. site a go? Quite a lot of WW2 themeing, if not full blown WW2 games. At least it is 'local' and many have an interest in the genre.

Warren's (Shoot n Scoot) site 'The Hill' has WW2 games but they are in the Dundee area.
I can't remember recent foray's from over the border, not since 2007 or so anyway.

Oh no, I play at POW all the time! It's basically my regular.
I meant I'd love to play at some of the big events down South, although the latter half of that quote disheartens me slightly.
'ABSIT OMEN'
I enjoy ww2 airsoft one day events or weekenders, most games are in the north and the distance puts me off anything over a 2hr drive to a site is not really for me. hope there will be more support for event in the south.
